Cat Talk

There's a lot more to cat tail talk than warning when he's about to unsheath his claws. When my cat is happy or interested, he sits gently swinging the end third of his tail. As he becomes excited, nore and more of his tail begins to move. Displeasure or irritation is shown by a twitch or quick flick, but woe betide anyone who ignores the signs when his tail thrashes from side to side.
Cats sometimes use their tails to 'hold' a companion and every owner loves to see the erect crooked tail that greets them in hope of food.
